 Physical security methods are tangible ways of protecting a computer system. There are many types of physical security:

  • RFID tags: Devices that use electromagnetic fields to detect a signal.
  • Security Tokens: Devices that can be used to verify authority by storing people's identification.
  • Locks: Items that can protect rooms or containers that can only be opened by the specific key.
  • Biometrics: Physical human characteristics that can be tested to verify a persons indentification.
  • Privacy Screens: Sheets that can be placed over monitor screens to reduce the viewing angles of the monitor.
